Baked Apple Crumble

This baked apple crumble recipe is a warm and comforting dessert that combines sweet, tender apples with a golden, crumbly topping. Perfectly spiced and incredibly easy to make, it's a delightful treat for any occasion!

Ingredients

Apples

  • 6-8 apples
  • 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 lemon, juiced
  • pinch of salt

Crumble

  • 2 cups quick oats
  • 1 cup almond flour or regular flour
  • 1/2 cups walnuts & pecans, crushed
  • 1 1/2 stick unsalted butter, melted
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp honey

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350F degrees. Slice apples and add to a large mixing bowl. Add all of the apple filling ingredients and mix together until the apples are evenly coated. Coat the bottom of the baking dish with butter and add apples to the baking dish. Spread evenly across the dish.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine all crumble ingredients and mix together until combined. Add crumble on top of apples and spread out evenly. Drizzle honey over top and add crumbled nuts.
  • Bake for 35-40 minutes until the crumble is crispy. Remove from oven and drizzle with more honey. Let sit for 5-10 minutes before serving. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream/gelato. Enjoy!
